A lot of front yards don't need a full overhaul. Sometimes a bed just needs the right plants, a layer of fresh mulch, and a little intention. That's exactly what we were working with here.

We planted Karl Foerster grass, purple salvia, pink coneflowers, black-eyed Susans, and coreopsis throughout the bed. It's a solid mix - each plant brings something different to the space across the season. You get movement from the ornamental grass, bold color from the salvia and coneflowers, and that warm golden pop from the black-eyed Susans and coreopsis. The bed won't look the same in June as it does in August, and that's a good thing.

Fresh dark mulch went down over the whole bed to finish it off. Clean, simple, and it really helps those young plants pop against the stone edging border that was already in place. The kind of detail that doesn't shout for attention but makes everything look put together.

This is the type of landscaping work that punches above its weight. A targeted planting with the right species in the right spot adds curb appeal without requiring a massive investment or a complete yard redo. If your beds are looking bare or just need a refresh, this is a great starting point.
